AGILE

A lightweight yet exceptionally durable fabric

The AGILE range provides increased flexibility while still delivering excellent thermal protection and market-leading abrasion resistance.

AGILE is a tightly woven gabardine structure of ultra-fine yarns, creating an exceptionally durable fabric with excellent thermal stability. We carefully designed this structure to balance the requirements between a light weight fabric and protection for the wearer.

AGILE can withstand 60 wash cycles without losing any of its protective qualities and is highly resistant to abrasion, keeping you safer and smarter for longer.

The patented Gabardine Plus construction of densely packed yarns results in a stronger fabric with increased resistance to break-open, leaving you confident that your kit will work with you to perform. The tight weave and our REPEL+ treatment give maximum resistance to the penetration of liquid chemicals, meaning harmful particulates have less chance of passing through the fabric.

AGILE

Woven to provide maximum protection against liquids and harmful chemicals

Developed in collaboration with firefighters

Before we developed AGILE, we asked firefighters how they thought their kit could be improved. They overwhelmingly told us that they were confident in the protection their kit offered but felt it could be more comfortable. As a result, we developed AGILE to be lightweight, flexible and durable while offering excellent protection against liquid chemicals, heat and flame.

Customer Testimonials

“Our new garments definitely feel lighter. The jackets are better fitted and give us greater movement and flexibility. The ECO-DRY Active lining is a fantastic innovation to the garment, helping to control sweating and take up moisture before the garment starts to feel wet. The early indications are that the new kit keeps us cooler when working for long periods of time at high intensity. During the course of a year, we will face a wide range of incidents, from road traffic collisions to wildfires during the summer months.”

Bob Over, Crew Manager, Lincolnshire Fire Rescue Service

“The process of moving to the new kit was very smooth. We were already with Bristol which made it easier, but we were keen to ensure that the garments were introduced as quickly as possible, within a three to four week period, to ensure that all our fire crews were dressed the same. The response in the three months since the new kit was introduced has been excellent.”

Julia Skinner, Contracts Manager, Lincolnshire Fire Rescue Service

“Firefighters are more aware of the kit they wear than ever before. If they weren’t happy, they would let me know but I can honestly say there have been no issues since the new kit was introduced.”

John McCorry, Former Head of Fire and Emergency Planning, Birmingham Airport Fire and Rescue Service

“Hainsworth TITAN kit keeps me cool and prevents me from being a boil in a bag. The TITAN provides the flexibility whether I am in a fire situation which may be a short, sharp hit of 15 to 30 minutes or standing on a jet for three or four hours. Our kit provides comfort and flexibility of use.”

Carl Batchelor, Veteran Firefighter, West Midlands Fire Service
